Music Studio and Community School for Nicaragua's Caribbean Cultures

Amplifying Indigenous Voices and Creating Harmony in the Heart of Nature.

Ana Gabriela Chavez
Call to Action
We are seeking $32,000 in seed funding to bring this dream to life. This investment will enable us to amplify the voices of Nicaragua’s Caribbean ethnic groups, protect their cultural heritage, and inspire global audiences through the power of music.

Resonance Sanctuary is a transformative initiative to establish a music studio and school within a regenerative land project in the UNESCO tropical biosphere reserve Macizo de Peñas Blancas, part of the Bosawas region in Nicaragua. This project serves as a beacon for preserving and celebrating the rich musical heritage of Nicaragua’s Caribbean ethnic groups, fostering cultural pride while supporting artistic and ecological regeneration.

The sanctuary will provide:

A state-of-the-art music studio: Designed to record and produce traditional and contemporary music from indigenous and Afro-Caribbean communities.
A community school: Offering free or subsidized education on music theory, instrumental practice, and cultural preservation for local residents.
An artist sanctuary: A retreat for creators to immerse themselves in pristine nature, inspiring their craft while contributing to the community.

Why This Project Matters
Cultural Preservation: The Bosawas region is home to diverse ethnic communities whose music reflects centuries of oral tradition. This project ensures their voices are heard and passed to future generations.
Community Empowerment: Education in music opens new avenues for self-expression and economic opportunities, uplifting the community.
Environmental Synergy: Located within a regenerative land project, the initiative will harmonize with nature, promoting sustainable practices and reverence for the biosphere reserve.
Global Impact: By sharing the music produced, this studio will bring Nicaragua’s unique sounds to the world, fostering cross-cultural appreciation.
