Funding to Build a New Aquarium/Education/Art Center on Santa Monica Pier
Heal the Bay in Los Angeles is seeking funding for a Sustainable Aquarium/Education/Art & Community Facility on top of the World-Famous Santa Monica Pier.

Tracy Quinn
The new aquarium facility will be a space that welcomes millions of visitors, connects them to the ocean through interactions with local species (both live & virtual) and educates them on the ocean (threats, solutions, individual actions) through art and educational programming. It will also serve as a community space, providing space for events, art exhibitions, etc.
The facility will also include an aquaculture laboratory where we will provide workforce training for college students while we raise & release endangered species and work toward solutions that balance our Pacific oceanic ecosystems.
HTB currently educates 10,000 children annually at our current space, we can significantly expand our programming with the new facility, accommodating more students and more technologically advanced programming.
Please find me and I can share conceptual drawings of the facility.
I am seeking $4 million for preliminary design and permitting. The full facility is estimated to cost $40 million.
